Special One Day Dec 5, 2008 “Go Green”

At the California Endowment Center, Downtown L.A.

The California Association of School Health Educators

· CASHE will sponsor a one-day conference at the beautiful Center for Health Communities, just across from Union Station, Downtown. LA. Tentative topics: Bidis, tobacco, & Hookah smoking bars, lesson plans, HIV/AIDS play from Hamilton High: “It Doesn’t Get Easier,” Greening America, marijuana, methamphetamine, HPV Vaccine update, Obesity, nutrition and much more…

· CASHE will encourage all attendees to take the train, ride a bus or use other transportation. Metro Train from South and North will deliver you right across the street from the center. Attendees are encouraged to car pool

· NOTE: Many of you CASHE members remember the outstanding conferences the past few years at the UCLA Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead. The CASHE executive board still plans on organizing another Lake Arrowhead annual conference, but not until 2009. The board decided that many budget problems this year may make it difficult for teachers and schools to fund conferences, thus this one day conference was planned.
